Camping, your not alone in this hun.. your failure is mechanical, mine is neglect. I went out and found my swedish flower roo with his head stuck in the corner . I picked him up and his comb is bloody . I check the growth on his chest and it looks worse. Then I see the red mites. I put him outside in the grass and as far as I know he is still there. I came in crying and mixed them up some wet food with ivermectin and the wormer as all their poop looks green. He already dont have toes. I just left him there. I cant deal anymore . I just dumped whole cup of coffee all over the place. very upset.

I lost her.

She was sitting just like that when I opened the door, and I added two packets to the waterer. When I moved her she closed her eyes and fell over. I gently dipped her beak but she wouldn't drink so I carried her home. I was halfway to the syringe when she died in my arms.

I know yesterday I said I don't get emotional, but today I'm upset. This was all my fault. Short of testing the nipples every day, I don't know what I could've done differently. The blue hen is still standing and drinking the electrolytes, so

for her now.

I'm so sorry, camping.

When they get that far, it's hard to bring them back. The damage is done to the organs. All we can do is try.

It happens to us all sometimes. Keep an eye on the blue one. You may want to bring her in tonight if it's cold. (below 70)

That's very upsetting. Those red mites can go from zero to overwhelming in no time. I hate them, and I rarely use the h word. Sounds best to put him down. Let me know if you want info about how I battle those red mites. Sorry this happened. It's a tough day.

thanks wishing. cant stop crying, . I never cry. frustrated I guess. Every time I get a calico colored rooster this happens. I guess his son whipped him. He is about to weak to walk so where I sat him out there he aint going any where. I am having a hard time with my hatchet . I am either not strong enough or its duller then I thought. Makes for a bad death.
