I like to fry mine @ 350* to 375* and if you can stick it easy with a fork I'll lay out and check a piece like a breast or thigh remember you can always put it back for more but you can't take it away once its too done

Done correctly broasting is an excellent way to prepare chicken - unfortunately KFC does not do a great job of it. I have had some FABULOUS broasted chicken in my lifetime.
That being said, yes, beer butt is a popular preparation in our house.

I have always wondered why gray chickens are called blue. I guess for the same reason some people can't tell the difference between blue and green eggs????? Blue birds are blue. Blue jays are blue.

Similar to the use of "blue" and "lilac" in dog and cat color descriptions -- who knows how/when/why it started, but not it is the term we are all stuck with.

Good and glorious morning, all! Can not say enough for the beautiful day we are fixing to have here -- the sun is up, the birds are singing, all that nasty rain is starting to pay off as it is turning GREEN and lush out ---- wonderful, cool morning with all the windows in the house open to air things out..............time to get started on some housework. I think I'll do a purge on what's left in DD's old room, what she wants we'll haul up with us when we go visit Friday, what she doesn't is going in the "donate/sell" pile and then we can use her room to start staging stuff for the big move......time to crank up some tunes and dance it out!
