I never use my skillet for anything except cornbread. LOL I dont have any used oil. cant keep bacon grease. It gets used faster then It gets made. After mom made it she drained the grease and poured a jar of alfredo sauce over it.She also said thats why so many are having low iron issues , No one using their skillets anymore.

I have been trying to figure this out for some time, with no luck. In dog and cat terms, blue is a specific type of gray, solid color on the hair with a silvery tip. Same with rabbits. If a gray rabbit has other bands of color on the hair shaft, it will not be called blue, but gray (light or dark), agouti, chinchilla, steel... the list goes on depending on breed. It has something to do with dilution genes. Blue feathers tend to be lightly laced, where lavender is "self blue" meaning the feathers are a solid color. Ultimately, I think blue and lavender are used for simplicity and convenience, rather than being descriptive.
It's interesting that there are breed colors called "gray" in dogs, cats, horses, and rabbits. In chickens, "gray" is not used as a variety. There is "silver gray." Maybe it's just too hard to decide gray or grey!!!
This has some good pics. Wish it was complete.

hey Mare.....do ya'll inject too?
similar to how folks will prepare a turkey for frying.
Mare, you still here ? fellow I know have silver laced polish babies along with blue laced red wyandottes and silkie and black copper maren chicks for $5. and I aint got a dime in my pocket. LOL
Lagertha took the chicks just fine and all five are running around together. It'll be a good while before I open the run for them because the sandpit is underwater, so I can't get sand without driving and hour each way. By then the littles will have caught up.![]()
