sorry about your chick Alison, it being that tiny you are going to have a hard time for sure. the one i had lived 6 days and refused to eat and drink. they will aspirate easy. not sure about putting it on its back. never heard that one. I couldnt tube feed because their throat is so tiny. there is 3 chambers there and if you get the liquid in the middle it will choke them. it is their lungs. it has to go to the side. there is a picture on here posted by casportpony that shows it way better then i can tell it. with that being said, I have been able to cure chicks with this . I didnt have the poly-vi-sol and i am sure that would of been better , i had rooster booster. LOL try dipping its beak in what you use as if you were teaching it to drink. and as was said, do it often. as far as food, when it does need it in a couple days, someone said that too. (not trying to step on toes here) lol give it a floor of food. even on their side or with a bad aim they will hit something when they peck. I mixed the rooster booster in the water and that is all it got to drink. it is different times depending on how bad it is for heal time. I hope it does well.

This is my oldest one it's 5 weeks. Since he's an only child he likes to ride around on my shoulder and sit in recliner with me and eat popcorn haha
Aww they are so cute, grannys going to pick your brain on how you've succeeded in hatching them, lol. She been trying a while![]()
