My sussex broody didn't crush anymore eggs today. Still 8. I candled, and five were late quitters. The other three look good, but appear to still have about a week to go. SO I'm hoping that she only stomped the first chicks because her biological clock told her they were too early.

The marans is still going good. I only candled two of hers, and they also seem to have about a week. I was expecting that, though.

I'm going to give them fresh nests and bedding tomorrow. Hoping for smooth hatches next time.

@enola -- how awful. Hungry or not (if this was about hunger), there is no reason to do such a thing, period. There are plenty of resources available to address the folks that are hungry without them having to steal someone else's livestock.

what is the difference in looks between a cochin and brama ? rooster. I cant share picture. its splash, feathered feet, not much of a tail.

The first thing that comes to mind that would be pretty easy to look at on your bird is Cochin are single combed, Brahma are pea combed.

Lol. I need to start working and earning those paychecks so I can get some sewing supplies. Is it sad that I have an Amazon wish list full of patterns to experiment with?

(What's even more sad is half of it is baby stuff...lol. I'll be well practiced if and when hubs and I get in the family way. But there's enough of everyone else having kids to practice on!)

Need more fabrics and threads too lol. Used up almost everything on my baby blankets of doom.

Bright side, I sent the hr person some warnings on my avalibility next week...(got to go to the dmv to get my Cali license whee almost a year later lol)

She'll be calling me next week to schedule the orientation probably be starting around the second.
