I can't keep up with you guys either and it's the time of year when I'm a stay at home mom!

I've got six pullets circling the nest everyday. No squatting yet, but combs and wattles are getting red.

I went back to bed after I dropped the kid off at school this morning. Somehow I'm just way more exhausted with DH home than I was without him, I guess because we're staying up late catching up on shows.

someone must of changed tv programming If you are finding something interesting enough to keep you up at night.

Hi all, headache much improved today, thank goodness. Its a beautiful day outside & of course I'm stuck inside making bread & butter pickles, lol. Better not complain too much or my plants could die off and not get cukes to make pickles like last year.

Some of the pullets hanging out with that poor hen as she's trying to lay. Sorry the glass is so dirty.

We watch New Girl every week, but we'd never seen the early seasons. So I saw last week that they were airing it from the beginning, and I recorded 24 episodes. :lau

I'm up to three of the 20-something guys in my house again. Good thing they're so precious. I'm about to lose my mind.

Most costly blunder in the torture chamber, love veggie soup, DH loves stew. I spent untolds amount of money on meat for stew and soup. All fresh veggies from the stands and countless hrs. pealing potatoes and onions, tomatoes, corn, carrots, everything was from a garden local.  The soup was soo good and the stew turned out good too. 24 quarts of each !  I processed them for a couple hrs. each batch . about 6 at a time I think. took a few days. Every single one of them spoiled.  I didnt use a pressure cooker I boiled them in a regular pot.  I only got a taste..  :th

I have canned thousands of jars of stuff in my life. The only things I water bath are tomatoes and jellies/jams. Everything else was done in a pressure canner.

Thank you hun. :hugs

A cougar ! WOW !!!  that can carry kids off never mind the chickens.  scary stuff there.  seen one here once but they shot it.    I am glad you are caught up. I must have the most unused life. all I do is sit and talk/write.

I can imagine a coon in the pot ! LOL just the picture in my head . cook it like a lobster. :sick they throw them things in while they are still alive.  They scream too.

I used to love crab meat. We ate it everytime we visited Grandma in Maryland. We went crabbing one afternoon and my Aunt Edna taught me how to hold a crab. I ran to the house to show Grandma. She snatched it and said thank you ..... AND THREW THE POOR THING IN YHE BOILIING WATER!!!!!!!

I don't eat crab anymore.
