Well so much for that. I see you're in Michigan.
Sorry Roost we are a bit a distance from each other for sure. I just added Silkies this past year because my granddaughter wanted some. I love them. The 2 I shared on my post are so friendly and like getting cuddles. The 4 others I have not so much. They are a fun breed & great broodies.

I've been looking for some around here with no luck. That's one reason I want some because of their broodyness. One of the other reasons is because they're so cute lol.

Roost here is a picture of another breed that is small & supposed to be good broodies.

This is Cherry-Berry, my granddaughter named her. She is 19 weeks old & is just starting to get some red on her comb & wattles. Not certain at what age a Mottled Bantam Cochin lays at. The advantage they have over silks is that they can fly.

Morning everyone :frow

Sunshine and showers here today, a real mixed bag of weather with a chilly wind.

Old mare that's a great pic!! Amazing what you can catch and not even know about!!

morning all, I did sleep all night but either not awake yet or still tired. sad when you cant tell.
Ol mare, just hang on to that broody and when my polish get started you can hatch for me. hahaa I am planning ahead. If I was in Yorkshire I would keep one lady hopping with eggs. pretty days and good sleeping weather here all week. no rain and we sure need some but very nice out.

Thank you. I'll have to check this breed out. I'm just starting out and I never knew there was so many different breeds of chickens. Morning everybody.
