I'm four pages behind and I'm never going to get caught up tonight. Y'all may already be in bed, I don't even know.

I've been cleaning since we got home because we have a friend coming over tomorrow who is married, but no kids. :hit They just don't understand the struggle. Of course my house was such a total wreck from the neglect lately...

I'm meeting my bro at 7:30 in the morning so he can drive us to a funeral a few hours away. A great uncle, and we weren't close, but I want to be there for my grandma. That was her brother-in-law; my grandpa passed about six years ago.

Pigeon isn't doing well. I noticed today that her eye is HUGE, bulged out like one of those goldfish. She's eating and drinking a ton, and making huge nasty poops, but I'm afraid she might lose that eye. I'm going to have to wait til tomorrow evening to even take a look.

Can't think if I have anything else to say. Probably not. Hope y'all are doing well. :hugs
Sorry to hear about your pigeon . At first glance I thought you said penguin. I was wondering where in the world you keep a penguin in Louisiana . I about had all kinda questions to ask about your penguin lol

Goodnight mutt. Sleep well. And thanks for volunteering to take me as your pet. No promises about being house broken though. I sometimes feel the need to mark my territory.

All the talk about milk reminded me of my childhood when we lived in New Jersey. We had a milkman who would deliver a half gallon of milk in a glass bottle and put it in the metal milkbox on the front porch. The cream would all be floating up at the top of the bottle. Mom saved it for a while and put it in a jar and I got to shake it and make some butter. Mmmmmm...

When we moved to California, there was no milkbox, so I was confused about what I was going to put on my cereal. Then mom took me through the drive through dairy. You pulled your car up to the window and told them what you wanted, and they would pass it right out to you. As long as it was a dairy product. You could get those little cups of ice milk to eat with a wooden spoon. Mmmmm... Chocolate pleeeeeese.

I'm hanging out for a bit longer. I took a nap today because I was off of work because of the flooding.

I heard on the radio about all the rain in Austin. 6" in an hour or something impossible like that! Crazy. I want rain badly, but that would be hard to take! You said it wasn't as bad where you are, so today was okay too? What do you do for work?

Oh man we use to get those little ice milk in school. That little wooden spoon made it tastes so much better than a regular spoon. What happened to that good stuff.? I was in kindergarten at that time.

Stupider than you think! You can't buy raw milk in California because you are incapable of making decisions for yourself, don't ya know. If you are lucky, you might find a small scale farmer who might "give" you some, but they can't sell it. Guess you can't help it if some money falls out of your pocket while you're there.
