Birds of prey have a specific search image. Chihuahuas, especially the tan ones must look like ground squirrels or pocket gophers to them. So anything you can do to confuse their aerial view can be life saving. I got the idea from Butterflies......some of them have "eye" markings on their wings to confuse their predators. My greatest worry at the moment are coyotes. According to Wildlife Officials in our area, family pets are their number one diet staple. They would swallow them in one bite, glitter and all. I was actually thinking about making Kevlar vests. If they can't sink their teeth into the body they won't be able to carry them off.Eyes on the jackets is an excellent idea. In my town, the wife of a minor sports celebrity (Levi Leipheimer - cyclist) runs a small-dog rescue. She also has tea cup Chihuahuas, and one tragic night let her darlings out before bed (supervised, of course). Right in front of her, an owl swooped down and got one of the dogs.Horrifying event. It made the paper.
At least with them being so small, they can get plenty of exercise inside the house. I saw your thread. Very funny and cute. You could start a whole new fad with them, like Grumpy Cat. Watermark your photos so no one can steal your ideas.
