I want something that lays gray eggs. What kind of hen is it?

She is an EE. She hatched out of a olive colored egg. I think her father was an Araucana/Leghorn cross. So, I suspect the white shell gene probably screwed up the brown shell gene somehow. She is a tiny ugly nondescript looking hen, but her egg is a large or so.

I'm going to my corner and cry now. No one wants to talk to me. Lol. If anyone wants to know , my little baby chick is brighteyed and bushy tailed today. My hen still looks terrible with a limp. How can I tell if her wound it infected? Also how can I check her temp.? In her vent? What's a hens temp.supposed to be?
