bit of bad news for me today. went out to walk and my old rooster had passed. at least he went warm and full. I plucked a wing feather to keep (is that weird?) then went to the other coop and my EE sat in the nest box on top of some serama eggs my serama was sitting. she moved to a different nest. I though how strang she would sit without ever laying . I took a closer look and she was dead as a door knob. no blue eggs for me.

So sorry about this.

thank you and thanks for the info.
I lost chat a couple hrs. ago. not sure what happened . eggs are peeled but not made . turkey pan is here but not ready. need to find out when to stuff the thinkgs butt. do you do it before it goes in the over or do you wait til its almost done ? I have never made one before.

Geeze, I'm probably the worst one here to ask. We don't stuff the bird anymore, just cook the dressing separately.

Stuffing goes in the bird before it goes in the oven. You do have to do a little cooking to get the stuffing ready (onion, celery, etc) depending on what kind of stuffing you've got.

well, I got the kind thats in a box you have to remember who your talking to hahaaa I didnt buy anything extra for it like celery and onions . was I supposed to ?

yes, stove top . says mix it in some butter and boiling water. I think I can handle that but it dont say when to put it up the turkeys butt.. I sure hope that thing has directions. Like how long to cook it. dont they have insides in them too ?

Most of the time, the turkey has a neck, gizzard, and liver tucked inside. Cook those up for the animals or make broth for gravy.

I don't think you need to put stove top inside the bird for it to be good. If you do, it goes in before you start cooking. Cooking time for turkey is by weight. So many minutes per pound. I'd have to look it up.
