My eggs just came today. Stupid postal system around here. mailman was awesome and went back for them so he could bring them out to me today. So I’ll be setting them tonight. I have 25 total and none broken so I’ve got some to play around with. Lol. And 3 Norwegian jaerhon eggs too.

Yeah, that’s the dude that delivers to work, the girl I have for my home address is not so awesome. Lol. So I send my shipments to the clinic instead.
They’re an autosexing breed that’s on the rare side, small birds that lay big eggs for their size. Lol. I’m trying to collect a bunch of Nordic breeds. I’ve got an icelandic and a Swedish hedemora already.

I’m on the lookout for more hedemora eggs, I only have the one (and it’s a wooly feathered one!) and I definitely want more. It’s the friendliest chick I have.

there’s a super tiny quail egg in this batch and I think that’s going to be my experimental egg, if it starts developing!

Hedemoras are awesome! I hope you find more eggs! Sounds good about the quail. I'm excited to compare. I just put in another chicken egg yesterday, getting a total of 3 of them. The new one that I set yesterday is my control egg. I'll open the other 2. That way if just one hatches it will have a friend. I would set another chicken egg so if neither experiments hatch my control will have a friend, but I can't really have that many more chickens. If any hatch I'll probably have to sell them anyway.
We're on day 5 for my 2 experiment eggs. Should I open them tomorrow?

The longer you leave them, the more likely they are to hatch as less time for bacteria to get in. Maybe open one sooner and one later?
