HALLOWEEN HATCH!!! Anyone

Quote:
I have 8 Silkie eggs sitting here from the past 3 day. I wish someone would test hatch them for me. However, I am not paying for anymore shipping fees! LOL

you know i would if it wasn't for the eggs in my bator now

Evonne, why don't I send you some eggs next spring? I'm incubating the last of my bantam eggs now and I do mean the last for a while. Grey Mama strayed a bit ago. I expect she will come back with chicks. According to our hens, October is the new May. Everyone who is anyone is brooding. Except Buffy, but she's still young and she raised Red anyway.

But, well, you see what I'm getting at? All of my hens go broody. I also have a Polish now unless I mistake that chick with the weird bouffant hair puff and 2 sizzles (1 white, 1 grey). Other than our broody OEGBs, though, I can't guarantee that I will have the right genders or enough chicks of like type to breed.

Oh, and that reminds me. I need to pm you with something.

kathyinmo, congratulations on the new bator tomorrow!

Oh, about $10.

rofl... i have $9.22 left on this card...
wonder how much is left in my paypal account.. lol... hold that thought...
nope... only 6 cents left there...
let me see if i can convince hubby that i need these and maybe tomorrow i will have a shiny new visa gift card with enough $ on it.. lol...

And here I have the $10 in PayPal. Mustn't give in to temptation...Mustn't...

Ok, I admit. I love silkies. There, I said it. They look just like they stepped out of Jim Henson Studios, perhaps from the set of the Dark Crystal.

I took my fiancee J out with me to pick up my trio of MFCs from a guy here in OK... and the lovely man had his silkies out free ranging when we got there. J, who had only seen pictures of silkies before and wasn't too fond of them, saw TimK's silkies and asked me why I didn't get some of those "cute fuzzy chickens" after we left with the trio. I started laughing hysterically for the next mile, then giggled on and off for the next 10 miles... it took a long time before I could say "hon, those are what's going in the 'bator next... the ones that you weren't sure you even liked the look of". He said "oh, well they're kinda cool, I hope some hatch." It was hilarious!

lol....

i NEED MFC eggs.... really i do.....
if you have any extra lying around come spring .. ya know... they could take a trip to vegas.. see the lights.. stay a while.....

nef, have you seen pics of my poor little frazzle?? her name is dopey... and she looks like a skexi.. the bad guys off the dark crystal... lol... i'll post a pic in the am....
she's the one i want to breed to a silky...
and step away from the paypal... those silky eggs are mine dang it.. lol...

@Evonne: Nonononononono...Don't worry about that. I found out that the local power company is redoing some of their major trunklines for the area and we can expect periodic power outtages all fall and winter long. When I said I can't hatch anymore due to the weather, I meant it. Only what I'm already committed to.

If I step toward PayPal at all, it will because I'm going to be god mother to your chicks.

No, I haven't seen a picture of Dopey. Please???

@Faerylady: I get to hear things like, "Fuzzy legged freaks" about my poor little silky/frizzle and cochin. The other day I hatched a mixed breed Polish and my guy (BD) says, "You don't look like a Buffy chick" as he's looking at the chicks I just put into the brooder. I'm not allowed to introduce anything "weird" into the general population, which is ok by me. I don't want to change our OEGBs at all. It makes better sense to breed silkies to silkies, sizzles to sizzles, Polish x Cochins to something I haven't figured out yet since it's the only one I have.
