Hatch going wrong!! Humidity problems HELP!!

What happened to the other two that piped? The last post only talks of one.

Take the egg out and with tweezers carefully flick/chip the shell to zip it. The chick may just hatch in your hand. Likely the chick is stuck to the membrane and unable to move to hatch itself. If that's the case have 99F water in a bowl and add to membrane with fingers or dip the stuck area in until it softens and can be peeled off. Wait for it to lube back up with the 99F water. Don't be in a hurry to peel it if it's not wanting to come off.

Worst case stuck tight I've had still only took 5 minutes to get it out if your bowl of 99F water is ready to go and you have tweezers, fair finger nails.

@Gracie123 chip off the area from the hole that is already there toward the fat end of the egg (where the air cell is) Just the shell to start with, not the inner membrane.
Then moisten the membrane lightly with Vaseline or coconut oil. Observe for dark blood vessels. Let it rest a little like that back in the incubator. Get a pic if you can.
Only it you don't see any veins, you can peel away some of that membrane. Stop if you see any bleeding. Leave it resting in the shell and let it push out on its own

Thanks so much. I'm going to try. I'm just cooling some boiled water now to get the right temperature.

The other chicks hatched, so despite being the first to pip, this is the last one that is still not out and there's been no change for almost 24 hours now.

Others are all fluffed up and happily pottering around the brooder :)

WVduckchick is awesome......I totally recommend you wait for her help .....Helped me and many others with great success....Please dont do anything without her....

So I've broken away the loose shell that wasn't attached to membrane and moistened the dry membrane with water. Chick is now chirping (first time in about 12 hiurs) and struggling a bit, which is a relief. I thought she'd given up.
Should I leave like this back in incubator?

I haven't broken shell all the way around in a "zip" line because it attaches to the membrane at the edge where I've stopped...
