I have Blue Cuckoo Marans and Blue and Black Coppers. So yes the Sex Linked roos will have a spot on their head and the pullets will be Blue/Black Copper Marans. The Cuckoo is ONLY passed to the roos and will have not effect on the pullets being pure Copper Marans. No chipmunk just solid blue or black at hatch.

Thanks DM, so it's the barring, just like in the red and black sex links that creates the sex link... I'm getting it.... One more ?, tho... so if the pullet copper marans are bred back to a pure marans, could they have barred offspring, or the way the gene is passed they won't?
