How did you make yourself stay away? That says you have plenty of self control. Would you please share your secret? No kidding. I've had to make myself stay off the Swap thread for a while - no self-control.
Hey guys, Ive got another batch of eggs to go out saturday if anyone is interested in side swaps. There are 39+ tomorrows. Will be 21+ silkies from black, white, and partridge pens and 18+ bb red old english game ( standard not bantams ). Would like to swap for seramas, swedish flower hens, ccl, tolbunts, nj, guineas, turkeys, ect., ect... I dont want eggs till spring. If anyone wants these pm me and let me know. Thanks, Clarence
Sounds like my houseIt's called a severe case of in-house chick raising. I'm currently residing with 18 chicks of varying ages in a VERY tiny space It's icky outside, and I don't want to lose them so they are with me til older, so I'm able to get my chick-fix just by looking around. Ummm, that's only what's currently hatched out - I have 30+ eggs in the bator, and havn't yet gotten all of my eggs shipped to me yet, plus the 9 -12 chicks I'm getting next week... chick overload = self-control.![]()

x2! I have some chicks in my bedroom right now. The Buff Orps and Doms just went out, so now I have 13 left. lol... I raise them to about 2 weeks old in here, then put them outside in the brooder before finally going into the coop in a grow pen with only 1 heat lamp. I've got a process going.![]()
Too funny! I told myself I would not hatch more until Spring. And I only claimed Spring eggs until two weeks ago. I am surrounded by enablers on this thread and I folded.
