"Yeah... Well, dawn's coming. I should probably head back to the car. Have fun inside." Cloud said, knowing the Clan cats didn't like it in the house very much and jumped up to the windowsill. Then, she felt something that the white she-cat had never felt before. Guilt. Cloud knew they wanted to know the way out. She knew that Amberpool and Crowpaw wanted desperately to get back to their homes. Cloud knew she could easily open the door that led to the garden so the cats could leave. But why didn't she want them to leave? Was it that she wanted to see them unhappy? Cloud had never been very friendly, or ever wanted anything to do with Clan cats even if it seemed like it to Amberpool . Her parents and brothers had been killed by Clan cats when they had accidently crossed into their territory. They had slaughtered them, shown no mercy even though they knew Cloud's family had no idea where the border lines were. A memory of that day crossed Cloud's mind, she shook her feelings away and jumped out the window. Remembering when she had been a rouge kit, until the twoleg took her in. (And now you know Cloud's past, XD)

"Glass animals?" Amberpool asked, wondering about the new words.

"What was what about?" Snowclaw asked waking up.


Dovepaw proudly stepped after Dawnpelt, carrying a huge, fat squirrel in her jaws. "Can I give this to one of the queens?" Dovepaw asked Dawnpelt.

Arik padded up to Amberpool, twitching his ears nervously.

"Ok!" Dovepaw mewed happily. Then she started walking towards the nursery.

Feathercloud perked up when she saw Dovepaw coming with a huge squirrel.

Leopardspot laid her head down, "I'm not very hungry."

Cloud had heard Amberpool, then turned around, "I should probably introduce them. Arik gets nervous when meeting new cats." she muttered quietly and jumped back up to the windowsill, "Arik, this is Amberpool, Crowpaw, and Shadow (didn't Cluck make a Shadow?). The human rescued them."

Dovepaw smiled a huge smile when she sat the squirrel down in front of Feathercloud. "Hey, what's wrong with everyone?" she asked. "They're looking kinda down."


Snowclaw sniffed Leopardspot anxiously. "Are you okay?"

"Hi." Amberpool mewed shyly.

Snowclaw winced when she said his mothers name. Then he turned the Leopardspot. "You said you weren't hungry. I just wanted to be sure. And yes, I'm okay."
