*Heat Of Battle*A Warrior Cat Role Play

"Spirit is ten times the leader you could ever be, Rainspark."Longstripe growled defiantly."And, for your information, leader, I have beat foxes as a apprentice, completed my apprenticeship, and completed my assement, twice."

~

"Enough."Hollyshadows low growl came from the shadows. Where she sat in the darkness made her terrifyingly look like Ravenstar."Fighting like two SheCat apprentices who can't decide who gets the cutest Tom in camp isn't going to get us anywhere."
"Stay out of this!" Rainspark screeched at the black cat, the furious glare she gave was uncharacteristically filled with rage. She whipped around and hurled herself onto Longstripe, her anger giving her the strength to knock him over. "You arrogant, boastful, idiotic, mouse-brain!" she shrieked as she tore her front claws down his muzzle and then raked her back claws through his stomach, "I've worked twice as hard as you have to get where I am! Don't think for one second there's a cat here who hasn't done what you have or more! Each of these cats has worked harder than you could even imagine! They've fought badgers, let alone foxes! Everyone has or will complete their apprenticeship, that's no accomplishment! You think you're special because you've completed your assessment twice? You think that's hard? Try fighting evil leaders, one after the other, try fighting in the Great Battle, try losing countless loved ones, not just Morningflame! Then you'll know what hardship and accomplishment is. Then you'll be a warrior. Then you can come and disrespect me." she snarled, before leaping off and racing out of the camp, not stopping until she could sit right at the border of SunClan and stare out into it's territory. Hanging her head, she said to herself, "Morningflame wanted me to give Longstripe hope, not yell at him."

Longstripe let out a outraged screech, lashing his claws across her muzzle in anger. He jumped to his paws as she left, bristling. Rage filled his crystal blue gaze, and his pale brown fur bristled. He slammed his paw across Spirit's face, blood welling on her muzzle where his claws had been."THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"He shreiked."You showed Morningflame that vision! Your the one who caused her death! YOUR THE ONE THAT HAS DESTROYED THE CLANS!" He spat, lashing his tail, whipping it back and forth."I knew I shouldn't have trusted you! I don't understand who you are, But I don't care! You've caused Morningflame's death and have brought doom to the clans!" Rage filled him, and he jerked forward, about to give the killing bite to the orange fox, but he was pulled back by Firefrost. He whirled around, slashing his claws on her muzzle, and tore out of camp. He ran until he stumbled, and he fell there, exhausted. His heart shattered as he thought of Morningflame, and he started sobbing.

"Why so down?"A voice of a elderly Tom appeared behind Rainspark. A skinny black Tom, his pelt flecked with white and orange eyes.

Rainspark jumped and twisted around, "W-who are you?" she asked, eyes widening. The cat obviously wasn't a threat, but it was still a little strange for someone to just appear.

Starclan above, why do they have to always aim for the face? Frostypaw winced in sympathy as his eyes fell on Spirit's bleeding muzzle. Though he barely knew Spirit, he felt sorry for any animal, cat or otherwise, that had to endure a face-slapping with unsheathed claws. "Lilypaw?" he murmured, prodding the apprentice beside him as if to make sure that this all was real. "Why do you think warriors always solve their problems by tearing each other's faces apart?" he tried to sound upbeat, though the situation was anything but that. Morningflame's body, which still hadn't been moved, reminded him painfully of that.

"Spire. But that doesn't matter."The elderly Tom murmured."Rainspark, sometimes things are better solved in words then claws. Your Tom friend, Longstripe his name is? Well, he's blinded by grief for the dead SheCat. He never ment to disrespect you, I'm sure of it. But sometimes you should listen to the words of a grieving cat.they can hold greater power then what you think."

"You think I don't know that? I know better than to jump to violence. In all my short time, this is the first time I've attacked a Clanmate. You think I haven't grieved before? I've lost more than he has, that's for sure. But I can hold my tongue. I didn't disrespect others out of grief. My emotions are my problem, not someone else's, just as his are." Rainspark sighed, "I'm sorry. I'm under a lot of stress and I know that's no excuse to attack someone, but he and his grief stood in the way of a possible plan to get my best friend back."

Lilypaw smiled, appreciative that he was trying to make things seem less dire, "I dunno. Seems ineffective, though, they stand their ground every time." she chuckled.

Spire didn't flinch, only listened quietly."But maybe the Tom is right. Maybe you shouldn't attack. That panther cat is aligned with FrostClan, Ancient Pantherçlan and ThornClan. You would never win."
