HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY CHICKEN HAS A LIMP AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!!

Yeah, possibly, but they can go a couple of days with a bound egg and then pass it, and have another egg bound afterwards and then pass it. The OP mentioned that she has had some large egg laying issues in the past, and she did not specify in this post anywhere that I saw that this bird was definitely still laying. The reason is that no one else that I saw even brought it up as a possibility.

IF she was definitely laying the whole time, then no she isn’t egg bound, but I didn’t see anywhere in this thread (and I may have missed it) that the OP stated that this bird was definitely laying the entire time. Just my .02¢, which is what the OP asked for. Have a good night! ;-)
I just don’t think any diagnosis or remedy suggestions should be made until there’s more info, yknow? Could result in a totally healthy hen getting a laxative and bath for no reason, but I do understand what you mean.

Okay, well there’s a couple of problems here, the first of which is that I didn’t give any diagnosis or remedy suggestions at all. I simply made the observation that no one had pointed this out as a possibility.

The second problem here is that I made my comment after the OP had resolved her hens issues and had ASKED for other thoughts on what it could have been.

The third problem is that my comment, although NOT a recommendation of treatment for others, was to simply add a pinch of Epsom salts to the water to help with magnesium deficiencies, and to give the bird a warm soak in Epsom water. It’s probably the MILDEST of recourses anyone could ever have offered, (and someone else previously already mentioned doing this soak as a pain relief remedy anyway, but you didn’t take issue with them) and any real experienced flock owner would recognize that. Birds get diarrhea occasionally from all kinds of different things, and guess what, they don’t die, they poop and drink more water. So, seriously? This is a CHICKEN. It’s not like I gave her medical advice on taking care of her 3 month old daughter. And even if I did, that’s what she asked for, and I didn’t taut myself as a veterinarian.

The fourth problem is that this thread was placed in the emergencies area, which is here for PRECISELY what you’re warning me against doing. I’m not totally sure why you’ve chosen my post to take issue with, and without getting too snippy, I truthfully don’t care why.

You must not have read the thread postings here. Either that or you’re just one of those type people who like to find fault with everyone else around them to try to make themselves look good. We’re chicken keepers here, this is what we do, and this is the area we do it in.

Um.. wow?
I didn’t mean any offense to you at all. You offered up a perfectly good point and I wasn’t criticizing you.
I was saying that the OP needs to be giving more information to get more accurate solutions, so that they wouldn’t start guessing and experimenting with remedies all while barking up the wrong tree like a lot of newbies tend to do.

I’m not sure what I said warranted such hostility so I’m just going to leave it at that.

Hello fellow chicken lovers! at least once we have all had, or will have, a chicken emergency, and not know what to do. I have had my fair share of problems, from a seriously bleeding comb [suspected bullying, as she is very sweet and at the bottom of the pecking order] to scaly leg. [not that bad an attack, just one or two upturned scales on one of the hens] But now, my flock leader, Belle the Invincible [not really her proper name. It's just normally Belle] has a very bad limp. she is hopping around on one leg and occasionally puts her left leg [the sore one] on the ground for balance. she also has brown earlobes [they are normally red] with white spots. It's not bumble foot or a broken leg [I checked] so, what is wrong with her?! [she was also very easy to catch and check over, which is NOT normal] I will post some pics if I can get some, please reply!! I NEED to know what is wrong with this hen!!!!
She may have hopped off a roost the wrong way. I had an Orpington rooster do the same and his leg wasn't broken but he did limp and lived a pretty long time, limping about

I wasn’t being hostile at all, I just don’t think a warning such as you’ve given was warranted, especially for such safe simple home remedy advice. And even more to the point, my comment almost mirrored what a previous poster had recommended for pain relief, so I’m not sure what the “word of caution” is based on or why it needed to be made.

You quoted my comment, so you must have been referring to me.

The word of caution was to stop OP from giving their bird a laxative if it didn’t need it.
There’s really no need to get defensive, no harm done or intended. :)

no...I have a camera that does videos, I don't do youtube.
Do the video on your camera, send it to your e-mail (or transfer it with other pictures directly to your computer.) Then you should be able to attach it to your post.
I'm not a tech person, but that's how my techie son got me transferring pics & vids.
