My broody and her 7 chicks made their first trip to the outside world today. The first hour the broody spent dusting in the run with the chicks trying their hand at it. Comical. She then ventured out side with the other 6 hens. There was a lot of looking going on by the hens. One of the BO hens walked over and took a peck at one of the chicks. I could not believe what I was seeing. It was a full fledged attack on the BO. The broody was all over the other hen. Feathers flying and squawking I have never heard. I thought for a moment of breaking it up but in a few seconds it was all over. After that moment the other hens avoided mom and the chicks. The broody must have made an impression on them. If somebody would have told me this would happen I would have been doubtful. John
