There’s quite a bit of unabsorbed yolk however
Should I also be cracking the incubator open to make sure the duckling gets enough air? At the same time though I’m worried it’ll affect the other duckling. The naval is open again - I’ve put the duckling on top of the cloth, is it alright? @WVduckchick

its hard to see on my phone but this looks like normal hatching debris.
Sounds like an improvement. Once you take her out, can you put her on something soft in the brooder? Rather than woodshavings, perhaps puppy training pads or even a towel?Update! The naval seems to be closing, it’s a lot less swollen compared to before so that’s a good sign! Once the duckling dries up and I put it in the brooder, I should probably keep the humidity down low for the second egg right? Currently getting knocked about by the duckling!
I’m a little worried I haven’t seen any movements inside the egg but I’m hoping as there’s still veins, it’s alive.
Does the incubator have vents? They should be openShould I also be cracking the incubator open to make sure the duckling gets enough air? At the same time though I’m worried it’ll affect the other duckling.

The incubator doesn’t have vents but there are these white things that I can use to create small gaps - doing this won’t affect the other egg would it?
And this is the duckling now:

Should I move the duckling into the brooder?
