How are your babes doing today? Great report on them from last night!! Isn't it funny how excited we get over duck poop. lol

Ducks are good this morning! Not eating quite as much as yesterday, but they still have time. Healthy poops in their pen, Carmella is holding her head up almost perfectly now! Gregory just weighed in at 6.4lbs and Carmella at 4.8lbs.

I'm going to weigh them again after they have more time to eat. I ran out of duck food and had to go get more so they didn't have a chance to eat much until 11 or so. They both filled their crops once I put down fresh food though, so I'm not terribly concerned.

Thanks for the update and happy to hear they are still eating.

A little fluctuation in their weight is normal and I have found it best to weigh at the same time each morning to get the most accurate data.

This is a common grammar error amongst dux'ers... It should read Dux are healthy this morning...

Just read through this read, sounds like you've been an A++ duck caretaker!

I've never had a major attack on my ducks, only minor things, so I can't imagine how scary this would be if it happened to me! Sometimes I'm happy to live in a neighborhood that has few predators...even if I can't have chickens.
