I'm addicted to buttons, they may be a better starter quail than corties or bobs. They're a fraction of the size and make great pets if u put the time in with them. If ur hatching ur own I reccomend seeing where the eggs are produced.. ie how the parents are cared for. If ur getting chicks I would get them from someone who hatches small batches and handles them if u want them as pets. If u want quails for their eggs and meat then u want to go down the corinux route. Again I would do all the above if u want them as pets too. Quality of the birds shows in the keeping of the parents and not breeding from aggressive birds etc xxAww so cute I have never had button or any type of quail ever but I will think about getting some. What is your experience with quail or button quail?
Love it what's the temperature control reptile thing called the brand I need like 3 for my hognose eggeaters and legless lizard I hate having to keep a eye on there heat when warmer weather shows upView attachment 3273979soooo this is my current incubator
Heat mat, teatowel, tupperware box, flannel, hydrometers and the wire is a reptile habitat temperature control tht the heat mat is plugged in to so the temp stays at 98°~99°
I've noticed now that it's stabilised that it keeps the temperature very well and the humidity is controlled by sponges tht I drip water onto when I turn the eggs.
Its actually more stable and reliable than my actual incubator was! If it continues to be successful I'm just going to stick with this set up!
