Oh yeah, I forgot about the floor. That should go quickly.
It should be a snap.. Pun intended.
today I am going to top off the oil in the transmission
on Ollie. there won't be many above freezing days left
to do so. I will gas him up, too. Maybe if I am really
ready for plowing, it won't snow ???

It will be great to get the floor done, so i can start moving stuff in there!

Crazy day at work. Again.

I was trying to work 2 positions at the same time and get additional work done as well (unsuccessfully), on a day when we were short-crewed and extra-busy. Then the health inspector came in.

And we were both shocked and delighted to score a 99.5 -- despite the place looking, to knowledgeable eyes, as if a bomb had gone off in there.

I guess it was a very clean bomb, because this inspector does NOT give away points unearned.

When I got home I decided to do something I'd been pondering and put my 5 cockerels up on Craigslist free -- because I just don't have time to butcher them.

Cappy, it will probably take 48 hours to get the kinks
out of your neck anyhow..
killer, a restaurant I used to go to , the cooks all
walked off the job. the waitresses took over the griddle
It was an interesting two weeks.
I was there when the cooks came back. everything came
to a complete stand still for about an hour while the cooks
put their spice jars back in order and cleaned the grill. lol
cussing the whole time.. lol
Annie helped me add oil to Ollie. She held the tube in
the fill hole while I ran the hand pump. it took longer
than I thought it would. the pump put out only about
a half a cup with each stroke. and the thick oil took
a bit of strength to force it through the tubing.
but we got 'er done. It was 32F . I was pretty chilled
by the time we got finished.

Lots of restaurant people walking off here too. They can't make a living on the wages and get a better job or come back when more perks/money.
Meanwhile shorter hour open, no one to answer the phone when they are open. Limited menus

That's truly excellent. Sorry you have to work shorthanded. I know it's very stressful.

The UPS guys are quitting too, if they can't make all deliveries on time, then they have to drive hours to get to the drop off spot. Then multiple hours drive back. Then do it all over at 5 am.
