Hen acting strange help! Pics added

She has her vet apointment tomorrow, so i will see what she thinks about my hen then.
I will also post what they say and think!
As for the ACV, I have left it up to my hen wether she wants to drink it or not, I think she will be a good judge as to what seems to be helping her and what is not.
I have the ACV mixed with water in with her, and the regular.
Wish me luck guys!

You can find bentonite at any home brew shop. You can order some online from midwest supplies.com
She has scrambled eggs in with her, I like to give her an option :D But at least today she ate on her own even though i had to hand feed her! Still has not touched the eggs, but I will keep trying!
Benoite clay, where can you get that? *Runs off to search the net*
Now what is ACV? I have been giving her this powder that helps with digestion? Pidoes or something like that.
Thank you!

Maybe it would be helpful to take printouts of the posts on this thread or pull them up on the internet at the vet office, to provide easy-to-review summary of problems you've noted, treatments you've tried, and possible disease conditions other chicken people have thought of to possibly check on. That might help in the vet evaluating possibilities.

I actually did most of what you said, I was smart! Lol for once XD
Anyway:

We have good news! We were able to narrow it down to Mold poison :D
It was a close call though between that and Merck's, but since non of the birds ever showed signs of paralysis during each episode, and since she herself was not showing any signs of it at the office, we were able to rule it out.
At the moment she is on a strict diet of blended greens, her food, baby vitamins, calcium *1/2 of a tums every day*, probotics, electrolytes, banana, yogurt, apple, and apple cider vinger. The vet said that if it is a toxin of any kind, the ACV will get rid of it. She also said that it looked like she was starting to recover!
The black stool has turned to a brownish green, and they are testing it just to make sure that she has no buggys that could be the cause as well.
She was caught eating the morning, and while we were away at the vet she pecked at a strawberry and drank her water like a good girl :D She also swore at the vet tech...>.> A very loud %^$#&($$$ when they picked her up.
AND! When we got home, instead of sitting on my lap to be force fed she actually jumped from my lap, and took a stroll threw my living room. She then pecked the curious cat in the face and calmly walked over to inspect my VERY good greyhound.
I do think/hope she is getting better :D
I was very good at the vet also, and told her everything that was posted on BYC from all of you guys and she was actually very impressed. :D (I impressed myself to, i had an intelligent conversation with the vet!)

I will keep you all posted! here is hoping she starts eating compleatly on her own and can be re-introduced to my flock :D

This is awesome advice, and glad you posted it, I wish it was made a sticky for everyone who may need to think of everything when going to the vet. I would have never have thought of it, and now thanks to your suggestion I surely will if ever the need arises. Kim

I'm glad things seem more resolved! Did the vet test a stool sample to confirm a mold problem?

If the hen actually has a fungus growing inside her, & not just poisoning from eating some earlier, apple cider vinegar alone most likely won't cure the problem, especially since her system is so weak. If she has a live fungus in her, the weakness would seem to indicate the fungus has grown extensively to make her that weak.

I did give apple cider vinegar sometimes to two of my hens that ended up dying from their internal fungal conditions (that were started by moldy corn I fed them). I know it was a number of times (They lived a few months) but I don't remember if it was the kind "with the mother" or not. I was also keeping the hens sheltered from others, warm & specially fed, but they still died.

They would have needed an antifungal like Nystatin or Oxine.

Did the vet say she thought there is a live fungus in your hen? I believe there is a fairly straightforward test that can be done on a stool sample to determine that. If so, the vet might be willing to prescribe Nystatin.
Caution: I know a number of antifungal medicines are supposed to be hard on birds. I don't know if Nystatin is one that is.
I doubt you can get Oxine from a vet, but you could mail order it if you wanted it. It especially might be worth it as an easy-to-administer preventative to periodically give to your other birds to ward off any problems in the future.

Please pardon if I give too many ideas! Fungus problems are a particular focus of mine since my hens died. But I realize other chickens may have a different level of problems than they did.

She did not think that it was a live fungus though just to be safe they are testing the stool for it :D I will look into the Oxine and read up on it, if it will not hurt her then i will have no problem ordering it and giving it to her as a just in case/preventative :D
She thought it was more of a poisoning then an actual living fungus, but then again vets have been wrong before! So the stool sample shall tell all lol :D

Question though, did your hens show the same symptoms as my guys who died?
