Hen or roo?

No but I can upload some tomorrow. She is the only 1 I have of 12. She is at the top of the pecking order of her 2 sisters.

I'm sure the body/feather pics will help folks determine what gender. Based off the photos above, I see nothing in the feathers that would obviously scream cockerel, but I am hardly an expert. The wattles are large and a bit on the red side, but every bird develops differently. I've had EEs that I could swear were cockerels turn out to be pullets many times!

Cockerel.....red comb and wattles and the start of some shiny hackles and saddles(which will take a few more weeks or so to become fully prominent).
Oh, and, chasing girls and start of crowing.

See with just the comb and waddle pics I would have said could still be a pullet. I had a GLW hen from the time she was a couple weeks old I just new she was a cockerel but she wasn’t. But after seeing those feathers there’s no way he’s a she! Lol Sorry

I'm also pretty sure it's a cockerel. The saddle feathers are coming in. If you can, give him a bit more time to see if his tail develops into a roo. A lot of pullets crow.

Nahhhhh....most chicks do sound a bit like geese honking as their voices change from peep to cluck.
