Hen with Swollen Crown

Hello there

I have a hen with a swollen crown, shes been eating and drinking normal. Could this be due to a possible tick or spider bite? Ive read on here that if I give her a dose of Childrens Benedryl itll help the swelling go down.

Any advice is appreciated thanks!

Are ther any other symptoms that she has other than a swollen comb? Where do you live? Is is cold there, or have you had any diseases reported in your area? Do you see any marks that could be a sting? The 1/2 dose of children's Benadryl would be okay to use if yoj thjnk it was a sting or tick bite.Let us know how she is doing tomorrow.

I live in Michigan, the weather has been very up and down 2 days ago it was 38 degrees at night, tonight its about 55 degrees.
I have not had any other people reporting and illiness' within their flock. She hasnt shown any other symptoms from this.
