I have another buff hatching, it has externally pipped and made a nice size hole, but now it is doing nothing but quacking. I peeled back part of the shell and it looks like it could be sucked into the white lining but it is still moist. I am so scared not to open all the way in fear of a bleed out if it is not done cooking, it has not been 24hrs yet since it externally pipped. Should I just let it go for now? Wrap a wet paper towel around it what? It is in a still air incubator, so it does not seem to be drying out....HELP!!![]()
Erin, if the inside membrane is shrunk onto the baby, since you have peeled a small hole you can dampen membrane with warm wet tip, or try to mist it with warm water. Get humidity up to 80%. If you can take a pic, it may help.
