It's still very wet. I suggest that you cover it, or wrap it loosely in a towel and try to get it dried off. A wet duckling or chick in an incubator will get chilled very quickly.

He's actually dry, he has some left over dry yellow goo stuck to his back, his feathers aren't fluffing up, I know if I give him a quick little shower it will help but I think he's too weak for that. I put him in a little towel anyway

Do not get him wet right now right now. If any goo on his feathers are restricting movement, try to manually get it off. 38 days is a long incubation period and it sounds like maybe there were some issues with temp and humidity if he's sticky like this.

One or two have pipped externally, the others haven't though, a lot of them are moving inside though, they just won't come out, the first one was a day late so I haven't given up hope. I can see darkness in the shell where one of the ducklings has pipped, I think it's yellow goo drying up just hoping he'll make it out himself, I'm done assisting, it always ends badly.

I read somewhere that Muscovies have an issue with their renal system, which is why breeders don't like shipping day old ducklings. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's something think about when hatching mine. If mine are slow to perk up I give them the Nutri-Drench, but I have also used "iron free infant vitamins". Additionally, I will give them drops of infant electrolyte water or sports drinks like Gaotorade.
