How do you call your chickens

I say peep peep peep peep peep and they dont run they FLY! well all do (seremas,oeg) except my little silkie who just waives her wings in the air and bolts towards me. In the summer I dont have to cal unless its treat timel, I open their door and they run under the porch where I feed them then attack the food like dogs.

I call "Hey Chicky Babies" but they come when they see me because I was the one to feed them their scratch and scraps. Now DH feeds them in the a.m. but I feed them their warm meal mid to late afternoon and they swarm. I also have several that would follow me when I checked eggs knowing I had "something special" in my pocket for those who want to cuddle. Those girls have learned to eat daintily instead of trying to grab the fingers as well as the food.

As soon as I receive my day old chicks I whistle every time I feed or water. By the time the are full grown they run like mad at my first note!

I call "Heeeeeeere, chick chick chick chickeeeeeeeees" or "chick chicks" and they all come running! Even if they've snuck onto the neighbor's acreage (which my neighbor is totally cool with) they will come flapping in from all directions. Friends get a kick out of it, they can't believe how friendly my chickens are!

If they see me walking around the yard, they tend to follow me around anyway. I love my chooks!

I say, "Hey there, girlfriends!" It makes me feel so happy to see them running to me.

Heeeer, shoooshshoosh shoosh. starting high then descending It is how I remember my grandmother in Ireland calling her flock.

I shake the scratch cup or make a noise like that.

I say "Hey birds, hey birds!" In a singsong tone. They come at breakneck speed. I call to my rabbits that way too, saying, "heeeeey bunnies!" Kinda like Ed McMahon on the Johnny Carson show. The cages rattle!!

But because I've heard so many people say chooks (which I still don't know what that means) I do call them if they're getting too far from the house with that and they hightail it over).
