I have a little cockerel with zero takers in my area so I decided to sell him in my local fair. I can enter him as a BYM but I have to list the breed of each parent. The father was a black sex link but the mother is a mix of mixes. She was taken by a fox so I don’t have any way to do a DNA test or anything. @BastyPutt helped me figure out that she has some cream Legbar and maybe some lavender Orpington. She layed a small pinkish egg every day. She obviously has cream Legbar in her. So can I call this hen an EE?

Not if you intend to be honest.

Ok. I don’t want the buyer to be lied to. Any idea what breed she could be mixed with?
Nope. Your best bet is to explain what you have in your post. Guessing he's a bit of this and a bit of that isn't going to help really. He's a cross breed. Nothing wrong with that.

This! You can if you want to, but it would be disingenuous. Put her down as a mix breed. Put the father down as a BSL. And the cockerel will be a barnyard mix
Ok thank you I will do that!

Wait just a second here folks.

What is the definition of breed standard of an EE?
There isn't a breed standard for EE.

For me, an EE is any bird that lays colored eggs or carries the genes for it. Once it doesn't carry the gene anymore, it's just a mutt/BYM.
