How to make roosters crow less

Hi everyone, we are moving into a place with some acreage so that means we can have all of our chickens at home, we have 11 roosters in total and 9 are in a rooster flock. I need some help if you guys could please help me. Does anyone have any ideas how to make them not crow so much? Besides rooster collars and culling them if possible I would like to keep them. Does anyone know what’s to make them crow less?

Oh man that’s a lot! If you do mind me asking how come so many Roos?

I have several breeds that I keep and breed, plus I like to have a back up when possible for each breed. And some are just so well behaved if rather not butcher them.

I also have a ton of females too thpigh

Unfortunately I’m not sure there is a way other than crow collars or reducing the numbers. What is your reason for wanting them to crow less?

Thank you, the reason is that them crowing all day would be kinda nuts, but I’ll see how things go in the end

I have 13 now and will have around 20 in May. You get used to the crowing

At one point we had 5 roosters crowing all day. We actually enjoy the noise these days. It did take a few weeks to get used to. It will help if you could put the coop a few hundred feet from the house. No matter how many you have it will get annoying quick if they too close. They aren’t as loud as most people expect though. About the same volume as a dog and generally they don’t crow as often as dog barks.

Ah. We don't take in birds anymore unfortunately, but I used to take roosters that 4hers in town couldn't keep after fair
