Thanks We actually will be starting school back on Monday!Kiki, depending on damage, it could be months. My daughter's school was one of the first in the actual city of New orleans to re open. Katrina was 08/29/2005 and her school re opened in 01/2006. Many schools in your area that are able to re open will take in kids from other districts. As well as private schools, which may educate kids free of charge, until you children's school can re open. Here in NOLA, some private schools have offered to educate children who are displace to NOLA from your area free of charge. My daughter's school is one. Try Catholic schools near your area, if your children's school will not be opening soon. It's easier on the kids, they get more of a sense of normality and security, as well as keeping them from falling behind, if they are back in school sooner, especially the little ones. Good luck, hope you find a school for them soon.
Somehow I suspect this is a cry for sanity![]()
No...I'm pretty sure that would require me to get rid of all the TV's for good.
Yes he did.I just saw this bloke on tv called Mattress Mack or something. He opened his Houston mattress shop to refugees from the hurricane to stay on his mattresses/furniture.It makes sense.

I'd die.
Yes, best PR ever - nothing like international publicity. If I ever go to Houston and need a mattress I might well remember his shop.A win for everybody. People get a place to lay their heads and he gets good PR and the chance to write off inventory as a charitable deduction.
56000 without WATERPR dodged a bullet. 56,000 without power is nothing compared to what it could have been.
