I haven't met one I didn't like. I need to get good scratch recipes for them.

Give me a few, and I will give you mine! The glorious thing is you can stuff them with whatever you want. My Dad told me he once had desert ones with cherry filling and powdered sugar.

My grandfather taught us pearogs (sp) same idea I think, dough and inside was salt pork chopped up and onions chopped up with lots of black pepper, that's it
Brushed with either milk or egg and baked, a meal in one hand for the workers

Sorry, was driving...
Peirogi, or priogi or how ever you spell it... dang near ever culture has some sort of stuffed dough. There's empanadas, pot stickers (or Chinese dumplings), ravioli. Peirogi is the Polish version. You can find not so good ones in the frozen food section, but I grew up on beef and sauerkraut... after you seal the dough you can boil, boil and fry just fry them. I like them fried.

I need to find a good book with polish sausage recipes and for that matter German cold cut recipes aka sausage.

I am the first to groan about snow around here. I hate dealing with it, I don't like the cold, I especially don't like shoveling the stuff. Since I live by myself, all I worry about is making a path to the birds.

Snow on the pond - you wouldn't know it was a 15 x 15 foot square.

After shoveling a path to the roadway.

Ugh - just Ugh

I am way too old to worry with it. If my son shows up, he can shovel or use his snow blower. I am just planning on being snowbound!
