* I am a sad, sorry idiot. (Just in case you didn't already know it.)

DH locked me out. He forgot I was in the barn and locked the door when he left. We don't have cell phones..not they would have done any good anyway; reception is horrible. Luckily we keep a spare key on a nail in the garage.

I told him later that he locked me out. He laughed and didnt even realize he had done it.

we have eliminated this scenario altogether in our house...locks? what locks? well, of course we have them, uh, we just hardly utilize them!!!

we have a better system...a 90 lb dog that everyone thinks twice about being near our house.

too bad they don't know that dog is the biggest baby. she just has a lot of teeth!!!

We have sales people show up and ask it I have any trouble with the dog (St. Bernard) before getting out of the car. I quickly learned to tell them- "My husband doesn't"!

She wouldn't hurt a fly.

My neighbor and I have each other's keys and keep them hidden outside. I locked my 9 month old daughter in the car strapped in her car seat. It was about 90 degrees outside. Thank God, I had already pulled into the garage. We lived way out in the country with no handy neighbors. Had to call DH home from work (40 minutes away) to rescue her. It was a brand new station wagon and this is when automatic door locks first appeared. She screamed and cried so hard she threw up. Luckily the seats were vinyl. Did I say it was 1982? Wow, I'm old.

One time we had dinner guests, and we were showing them the inside of the coop. I shut the door, and we went back in the house. About 5 min later, one of our guest said,"Where's Bill?".
Then it hit me. I ran outside, and sure enough, there was my husband's head in the window of the coop! I had locked him in.

I locked myself out of my car during rush hour, had pooped the latch to deal with the flat tire, but it was frozen shut.

No big deal, just a major busy road with no where to pull off to, during a raging blizzard.

Am I complaining? Heck no, the car behind had 2 fellas in it & they had me up & going in less then 10 minutes (did I mention I was running on fumes?).

God bless my fellow man....
