image.jpeg Hello, I’m a first-time duck-raiser with five healthy and curious ducks. I put three pictures, one of my flock and two close-ups my gray duck, the one whose breed I’m unsure of, in the bottom of this post. My ducks are seven weeks old, the gray one named Abigail, though I’m not sure of her gender quite yet. I got the eggs from a lady who had Cayugas, Welsh Harliquins, Buff Orphingtons (although I believe my one mallard is a through-back; the three breeds mentioned just now are all descended from mallards). I’ve done a lot of research about the care of ducks and perks of those breeds and looked at other breeds, but couldn’t find a duck that looks like her. I’m not sure if a drake flew by and made a mixed breed, but either way, I would appreciate any help identifying what I'm raising. Thank you.

I'd say she is most likely a cross. Probably between the welsh and the buff, but I can't be sure since I haven't owned those particular breeds. I'd think if she had cayuga in her she'd have more black or at least glossy green shine.

Sad news, this afternoon a hawk attacked and killed two of the white ducks, and moderately injured the third. He is in good spirits and the vet says he stands a good chance at survival.

I agree.
She sure is gorgeous
Yes, I’m lucky to have her. She also has great spirit.
Cross breed. Blue fawn in color
I believe so. Thank you, all of you, for help

I am not that familiar with ducks but it looks like it is a cross of two breeds you have.Your guess is as good as mine with what breeds its mixed with.
