Nightpaw looked over him, noticing by his scent that he had just been with Icepaw. Comforting him, by the looks of it. The betrayal hurt her, but she didn't show it. "I'm fine," she said, her voice cold.

Remembering Nightpaw had been jealous over he and Flamepaw he tried again.
She stared at him with blank eyes. "I'm fine." Her voice was utterly devoid of emotion. She flicked her tail and looked away from him.

Nightpaw regarded him. "And?" She mewed, studying him. "Grieving is no excuse for an unprovoked attack." Her voice showed no anger, just dull curiosity. Does he really believe that being sad is justification for breaking the code we live by?
