Fluffypaw felt claws take his throat. He caught his breath and sent her wailing with a heavy blow. He fell over and blood streamed from his neck.

Apparently the distraction hadn't worked. Nightpaw hissed and launched herself at the she-cat's back, clawing at her shoulder. The she-cat snarled and collapsed on top of Nightpaw, maneuvering herself so she was on top of her. Nightpaw threw her unsheathed claws at the she-cat wildly, squirming and trying to get free.
