LOL! I was just thinking, "Maybe I'll keep it!" But then I thought, "No, probably a crazy Drake." (mine are duck eggs) The others move, but man, this one just goes CRAZY! Like a mad duck.

Last thing I need is a crazy hyper Roo!

Man oh man I have a bator full of eggs and I guess i missed one. The poor thing broke the shell but the chirp is sooooooo weak.I know I am supposed to let it die, but I just cant do that. I have broken the shell open more to give it some more air and I gave it a little sugar water with vit b in it. I actually hate helping them out of their shells because they always seem weaker than the ones who zip on out on their own.

I always help mine. People who say let it die... well, it's my chicken and I'll do what I want. And that's to help it survive. So there! You help that chick!

That's how I feel about that.

I totally can't sit back and let them die! I mean, usually it's a shrink wrap issue, so it's not genetic. Just the humidity fluctuates, so if they pip and nothing else after 24 hours I help them and give them a bath, a drink, and pop back in the Bator to dry. If they die anyway, at least I tried.

I helped one of my first chicks out, who by all accounts *should* have died. Now hes a *beautiful* young Ameraucana/something blue rooster. And he is *plenty* feisty, let me tell you!

I helped it hatch out, put it with the other chicks but they started attacking the poor mite, so he is wrapped in a tissue and in my bra right now. his chirps are sooo weak. I hope it makes it.

how long must a bantam egg sit out before i can put it into the bator. everyone is saying to do it now since the oldest is 10 days from po taking longer then expected to deliver them and to not have the turner on as well.

heres the size of the eggs
