All my rhode island reds stopped laying a few months ago (around winter and it is now summer)

All the rhode reds stopped laying but my silkie started laying her first eggs. She stopped laying after my silkie went broody and tried to (and failed to) hatch eggs.

Can you post some photos of how she stands and of her poop?
Any bloat, swelling or feeling of fluid in the abdomen?

Try to keep her hydrated, offer poultry vitamins and see if she will eat for you.

She always sits like this. At the moment it is raining and is 17 degrees. We are in summer

Her breath smells like mealworms and dog buiscuits. She still comes running out to eat dried mealworms and sweetcorn. Her crop seems alright - maybe a tiny bit swollen. She is quite bony and very light.

I agree, feel her crop, but also check her abdomen for swelling/bloat.

She looks like she is very uncomfortable.

I know but that's the only way she will stand unless she is eating or drinking

I believe she means to make gentle strokes from the bottom of her crop upwards to loosen, dislodge or break up the blockage. I'm not sure of the correct positioning of the hen for this. Perhaps just on your lap?

As pointed out this has probably been going on longer than you realized so surgery might give her a better chance. Good luck to you both.
