An easier solution to catching hawks is just to put a net over you runs.

I bought a 200 x 14 roll for 60 bucks....works great for hawks and eagles, it is very easy to zip tie together for larger areas.

Regardless of how she caught it.....it is illegal.
There are other...legal means to control raptors.

Edited to be nicer!

This is not going to disintegrate into an argument, and yes I am a good example for my students thank you very much. I don't have a traditional run like you might have but I'll be happy to send you my Paypal address since you have so kindly volunteered to pay for that netting for a run. Yes that was sarcastic but accusing me of a being a bad example for catch and release instead of shoot and shut up was rather uncalled for. Now if you can't be nice don't post.

Regardless of how she caught it.....it is illegal and she is a school teacher.....supposed to be setting a good example for our impressionable children!

Wow!!!! Very judgmental of you to say she's not a good example to her impressionable children. Writerofwords thank you for sharing your story and the pics to show how beautiful that creature is.

WOW, I taught school myself once....and if I had animals, I could afford to take care of them LEGALLY. Catch and release is ILLEGAL unless you have a permit!

I volunteered a solution to a problem....NOT to pay for it. If you can not afford to protect you animals you should not have them!

I was being nice....you took the gloves off.

I think it was a wonderful example to catch and release. Though I don't think I would of wanted to grap it bare handed . LOL !! If you hadn't the rest of us wouldn't of had these great pictures !!

I think you were a great example for your kids , all involved are alive and free. Isnt that what should have happened . WAY TO GO TEACHER......
