I am under the assumption that vegan eggs is a plant based egg. No?

Vegan egg or vegan chicken feed? I’m confused on what this means. My son is vegan and eggs are off the menu.

I didn't post that, but I'm sure they meant plant-based egg substitute.

(IMO, vegan eggs, milk, cheese, etc., are substitutes. No one will ever convince me they are as good as the real thing. But that's me. )

Are you referring to glyphosate? That's an herbicide. I can, but that will dramatically increase costs.

Anyone know if increase in glyphosate in the feed will inhibit egg laying?

I was being sarcastic with all the hupalloo around it.

Though I believe someone did on a other thread stated it doesn't effecf laying

What I recall reading was that reduced egg laying was not a top symptom.

I think they stated decreased laying wasn't in the top 10 signs, and you'd notice the top ones way before egg laying was in trouble

8 eggs in the 6 days since I switched back to my regular feed. The same as the 6 days when I fed them Purina. Very old Purina feed, too.

I made some changes to my coop last Friday due to flock dynamics, and I think that may have caused some disruption. I'll be changing it back in a few days. The weather is going to get cold, wet, and miserable by the end of the week.

I keep track of all the eggs I get, so I know how many are laid each day. Sometimes I know who laid it, but not always. I'm going to bet I get the same or fewer eggs in the next 6 days (8), but I hope I'm wrong.

Glyphosate is Round-up a herbicide.
There are a few studies on the afect of it on egg laying animals and it lowers egg production.

Something I noted in a book I begun rereading about breeding poultry is hens who go into molt in aug-sep were poor layers and shouldn't be bred. The original copy was published in 1910s sorta make you wonder.

Yes. The traditional advice was to select breeders from the hens who molted late, hard, and fast.
