In need of help. Really worried

Garlic is also supposed to help repel mosquitos, although some say that is a bogus myth. Something tells me it would be no match for the climate in FL. I've seen the size of ya'lls mosquitos. And the huge palmetto bugs! Out of morbid curiosity, do your chickens eat those?
Some of them do some don’t. And yeah mosquitoes over here is horrible especially if you live near Lake

I'll follow it. Also, you can give them certain foods or vitamins to help boost their immunity, but some of the immune boosting foods can raise their body temp. so if it's really hot out, that is something to consider. What treats do you feed them currently?
Really great point about inadvertently raising their body temperature. Which foods would do this?

The facial swelling is exactly how my hen Hortense looked when a baby rattlesnake bit her in the wattle. The circumstances of the bite were such that she survived. But her face swelled up and so did part of her ear wattle connector thing. I need to work on my chicken terminology.

A spider bite or fire ant could have done that, too.

Turmeric is a fantastic healer, so I second adding it to their food. It can also be applied directly to wounds or swelling as a tincture. They should eat it without any problems. Garlic can be finely diced and added to a mash with their regular food.
