I am sorry, just the image is too funny!

By the way... I wanna see more pics of that rooster! He just looks MASSIVE. his head and comb look swollen though, is that how they all look? it reminds me of the few "waterhead" babies that i have hatched in the past due to incubator problems

It is a little odd looking, but would love to have one as a house chicken.

Can you imagine the reaction as you told guests that you bought it at the grocery store and it came back to life.

Zombie chicken.

I'd probably try to find a way to make a styofoam sweater for it.

Imp- So good of you to take it in and care for it Danischi24

BTW- Can you tell I watched "Night of the Living Dead" last night

Gross, but I could see how one would come to like one. It would grow on me if I had one.

My mom on the otherhand, would probably beat a chicken like that with a broom while screaming if one wandered into the house.

You guys are all very good hearted people & most of you have priorities & ethics that I commend.
Inbar is very happy to have eaten her egg today instead of it rolling under her cage to the collection tray

Good thing I don't like eggs much. I actually find the idea kinda funny & at least they are getting some nutrition back from it.
Here are some photos of the broiler type roo. They are big in the head because the feathered chickens they were bred with for size had very oversized combs. He is 15 months old & still doing well & very mobile.

Won't these birds suffer from sunburn and bugs and.......JUUUUUUUUUUST kidding!!! I DID read the other posts!!!

I think those are a great idea, and of course the folks who breed them know their issues, and will take those into account! I think these birds can be a great source of meat for some of the poorer nations. Far be it from me to tell a starving man to not eat because it might possibly be unethical in some miniscule round about way
hmm.png
Sheesh people, we aren't talking about Americans who have other options consuming these meat birds. All of the naysayers should head on over to Africa and tell some starving toddler's parents they can't have these birds to raise for their village and their baby can just go hungry and die from malnutrition. The target market for these animals are in DIRE need, and the reasons behind this operation is absolutely commendable. LOVE the ugly birds!!!!
lol.png
They sure are freaky looking things

Thank you for posting the pictures ! I would like to say I apologize for a few of the rude comments from a very few of our gang . You can tell that most of us really appreciate you taking the time to tell us all about these interesting birds.
