Very strange looking.

Is the skin soft and can the skin be eaten?

Their skin feels like a normal chicken. That's the only way I can describe it. Feel the skin on the underneath of your chickens, it's the same to the touch. Their skin isn't dry like they are suffering from an ailment & yet they do shed a lot of skin cells. The skin feels elastically smooth & soft to the touch. The roos thigh is just like a grocery store chicken's thigh I guess but because I was holding his legs, he was bunching his muscles.
ETA: Yes, the skin can be eaten. It's just like any normal chicken except that it doesn't have pores for the feathers. This actually means that when you cook them, they have much more moisture than a regular chicken as the moisture normally escapes through the pores during cooking. That's what some French chef said anyway, while he was cooking one.

Being a major bird lover, I'm not exactly partial to cats but if I ever got one, it would be a sphinx.
Yes,,,,, these birds need to be kept indoors.

I think Inbar and her history is very interesting. The breed is not my cup of tea, so to speak, but then, neither are Polish or silkies or many others.

She's not ugly, she's just very different. Love her little outfit!

Thank you for sharing.
