How long can eggs be refrigerated before they are no longer viable to use??? I have never done that with mine. But I am willing to try!!!

Thanks for your help @Sally Sunshine ! I'm not at all sure what happened.....I failed to calibrate this time because the previous hatches had worked; newbie mistake I guess.

You all are killing me with those chick pictures! I ''need'' some chicks now!

@All, Just out of curiosity, what do you do with all these chicks you hatch? Do you keep them all, or sell them?

does anyone use the notes besides me? I mean the individuals notes? if not I will do them by hand for myself? and just do the links/posts part at the top, and link them to an article post before the main post closes. that way we always know where to go for them. not sure when that edit will close on the OP

They are helpful when someone posts a question, but don't give enough background details, I've referred back to them. And its great having them all in one spot. But I'm sure its hard for you to keep up with.

I think I'm only going to set round ones in my next batch from my mixed girls. Maybe one pointed one. My current babies have turned into tooooo many BOYS!

So my neighbor across the street had a car plug in thing so we brought the mini over and plug it in at her house. It got back to temp pretty fast. Power came on 30 min later. Uglybator only got down to 89

Too bad we aren't closer; gave away a couple of 29 longs this summer, with all the trimmings.

I am so jealous! I would have loved to upgrade my 20 long!

Did you know Germany has developed a way to sex eggs just after 3 days of incubation. There trying to get the process faster..and make a machine that the hatcheries can use
