Any telltale signs to seperate the OE's ? Comb development is my only thought. Way too early I'm sure.
Once they grow out and get booted by momma I'm gonna integrate them to Kong, I need to see his progeny. He's the sire to the OE's only.

Unless plans change and I keep them seperate and find some new boys. King's tail is horrible and he's loaded with white. Prince is King's son (1 year old in July) but he's got white in his tail also. I know I need to post individual updated pics of all BCM'S to get serious. Just spitballing.

Marans chicks should have a thicker legs with a pinkish hues . They should be better feathered too if they parent legs are feathered

@ Chooks man. Thank you much. By not looking too close, (momma is feisty and been rushing to build enclosure) they should all have feathered legs with Kong being Sire to OE's??
I don't know how you juggle so much with all you do and so many birds. Lots of credit, bud. I'm exhausted and it seems like nothing's getting done. It's always something stopping me from building the new coops and breeder pens I want.
Now I'm dealing with Morty (Midnight Majesty Marans) fly strike and lice. Gutting all the coops, DE, meds, epsom salt baths.... thankfully so far it's just her and I caught it early I think. But, ugh !!!!

@Punkybrewster in this photo from MS chicks I can see 2 type of chicks ,tall with sllow feathering type ( far back ) and long with a early feathering type front chicks and middle chicks ,
can you check if the early feathering type are pullets /sllow feathering type are cockerels ? if it a casse than JR is a early feathering type genes carriers and MS is a sllow feathering type gene carrier .
it is important for us to know .so we can make a better selection .
chooks man
I checked MS chicks.
All slow feathering are cockerels for sure.
All fast feathering are pullets.

There are 4 hatches, each a week apart, the feathering type is consistant.
