Is heat exhaustion a real thing for chickens?

Heres a new question and thought to this aweful problem ive got.. can over ripe watermelon have something in it that is bad for chickens? As I am almost positive that I gave these young birds almost half a watermelon cut in small pieces on Saturday, was not home sunday afternoon to do my normal routine as we left the house early and went down monday to discover the 4 dead, could there be a connection to the watermelon?

I question the watermelon and lettuce because all 11 chickens were alive and accounted for on saturday when I gave this to them and they all ate it.

I was considering that but by the looks of it its not very effective :/ I was wondering maybe about an old window a/c unit and our shed I may attempt to cool it for a bit without chickens and see what it does since it is insulated

Do you have enough ventilation in your coop?
Can you get a few photos of the whole set up?

Here is the coop setup currently.
