Is my chicken a male or female?

Darn!! No matter what, he’s still beautiful and I love him all the same! I thought he was a female because he’s never crowed like the rest of our roosters have, and he’s super timid like our females.

My mom and I recently took in a cute chicken that was going to be butchered this week and named her Zebra. She’s the sweetest chicken and I love her so much!

But there is debate on whether she’s a boy or girl. I think she’s a girl and my mom thinks she’s a boy.

What do you guys think?
Also what do you think the breed is?

I thinks its a female, the comb isn’t pointed like a roo’s, and the thing under the chin is not long like a roo’s it is shorter like a hens. I’m no expert I’ve only looked up pictures of Roos and hens to see which that look like. Everyone thinks its a roo but I honestly think its a hen.

Sorry but that is a cockerel. He doesn't look like the photos you looked up because he isn't a rooster. He will be a rooster after one year old. His comb and wattles will grow and so will his tail feathers. I'm sure this is also why he was to be butchered. People don't normally butcher the females.

He's not very old. I'd say he's about 4-5 months old.
