Is the egg that the red arrow is pointing to, a Silkie egg? It’s rather small, compared to the others. It would have come from one of these two chickens. I don’t know the sex of either one. I’m pretty sure naked neck is a roo because I’ve seen him crow. But then again, I’ve read on here that Hens can crow too.. so I’m not sure!

Actually, silkies lay white, cream and light tan eggs! 😊
Both your silkie and your naked neck appear to be male?
The egg could be a "starter" egg. Do you have any young pullets, laying age that have not started laying yet?
No, all of my hens have been laying eggs for a while now. I got them all at the same time including these guys. I get about 3 of these small eggs a week.

I am honestly stumped. If it was not for the egg, I would say that both are male! Comb is irregular on your silkie, wattles are not large in either one of them. The silkies neck feathering also looks more male. Maybe both are pullets?
@Matilda Belle, @LynnaePB, @PioneerChicks any ideas on which of these birds is laying the egg? 🙂

What a mystery!
